She famously flashed her neon pink pants when she performed onstage at Glastonbury on Friday and Lily Allen must have thought she was onto a winning formula.

The 29-year-old turned heads when she attended the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party on Tuesday night where she wore a tiny black mini dress which was held together by string at the back.

Showing her pants from the rear view, Lily's look was a bold choice which seemed to pay off.

A host of other stars seemed keen to garner attention for themselves on the night with actress Gemma Arterton flashing her abs in a red crop top and Naomi Campbell shining in sequins.

Lily's glamorous appearance was in stark contrast with the outfit she wore earlier in the day as she stepped out in a simple grey T-shirt over skinny blue jeans and Nike Air Jordan trainers.

Every summer for the past 14 years, the Serpentine Gallery has invited a leading architect to design a temporary Pavilion outside the gallery in Kensington Gardens.

The Pavilion is unveiled at the annual Serpentine Gallery Summer Party, hosted and attended by socialites, royals and celebrities.

Since 2000, architects have included daring creators such as Ai Weiwei (2012), Frank Gehry (2008), and the late Oscar Niemeyer (2003).

Last year’s invitee, Sou Fujimoto, designed a Pavilion visited by almost 200,000 people, one of the most visited Pavilions to-date.

The 2014 Serpentine Gallery Pavilion has been designed by Smiljan Radic – a doughnut-shaped fibreglass shell resting on stacks of large rocks.

Of course, there was no mistaking that flame-red and orange hair, despite the fact that the singer was trying to keep a low profile on her shopping trip.

The singer popped into Harrod's department store in South Kensington and emerged carrying a few carrier bags which no doubt contained a number of treats.

She was also sporting her beloved brown leather bag which she picked up at the MCM backpack launch recently and a pair of trendy sunglasses.

Earlier in the day, Lily tweeted: 'i just watched my Glastonbury set back and I'm weeping, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for coming and making it one of the best days of my life !!!!!'
