As Pope Benedict XVI left the Vatican and his papacy, he slipped out of his trademark red shoes and put on a pair of Mexican leather loafers. The shoes, actually three pairs, two burgundy and one brown, were a gift to the Pope during his trip last year to Mexico. Armando Martin Dueñas is the Catholic cobbler who made the pope's new favorite footwear. Martin Dueñas hails from the Mexican city of Leon, which has a 400-year history of shoe making.

TMZ Sports has learned ... Gilbert sold his Calabasas mansion for $3.35 mil -- which is GREAT, considering he bought the place in 2013 for $2.75. Gilbert and Laura Govan initially lived in the home together -- but he gave her the boot after they split up in 2014.

Dale Bozzio, the lead singer from the '80s band Missing Persons, has turned herself in to a New Hampshire jail yesterday to serve her time for an animal cruelty conviction. Last year, Bozzio was charged with the crime after authorities found loads of sick and dead cats inside of her home. After the gruesome discovery, 12 cats were euthanized and Bozzio was forced to pay the $2700 bill.

Disney Television Animation has promoted David H. Wright III to head of casting and talent relations. In his elevated role, Wright will continue to oversee all voice casting and talent relations for animated series and movies produced by Disney Television Animation, which is a provider of original content for Disney+, Disney Channel and Disney Junior, with a primary focus on imaginative, aspirational stories for kids, tweens, teens and families.

Updated Netflix renewed "Squid Game" after its successful first season. The hit Korean series follows a group of people taking part in a deadly competition for money. Twelve new actors will joined the cast for season two alongside the four returning stars. "Squid Game" first became a pop-culture sensation when it premiered in September 2021. Over two years later, fans are devouring the new reality competition show based on the drama, but they're still eagerly awaiting another round of the original series.

Honor, Haven and Hayes, oh my!  Jessica Alba posted a picture of her new astrology ink on her Instagram Monday night. The actress and Honest Company founder got three new tattoos of her kids' zodiac constellations. The delicate tattoos, done by famed LA tattoo artist Doctor Woo, were inked on the inside of Alba's forearm, representing the birth signs of her two daughters and son.  She captioned the social media images, "Honor Gemini Haven Leo Hayes Capricorn #hideawayatsuitex."  The mother and businesswoman even went live on her Instagram to document the tattoo session.
