Last year, before having a historic last season, Albert Pujols went through some hardships in his personal life. Somewhat around the opening day of 2022, a piece of news got released. It said that Pujols and his wife Diedre had filed for divorce and would be separating because of irreconcilable differences. However, as soon as the news came out, the former athlete started to get heavily slammed because the statement had come just days after his ex-wife Diedre had gone through brain surgery.

But shortly after this messy divorce got finalized, the athlete started dating one of the most influential people in the Dominican Republic. Albert Pujols started dating Nicole Fernandez, who is the daughter of the ex-president of DR, Leonel Fernandez. Ever since Pujols and Nicole started dating, they’ve been having the time of their lives. Now, when it’s almost a year after his divorce, the former athlete is teasing his fans about tying the knot with his new girlfriend.

Pujols, who ended his baseball career with a good chance of getting into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, has remained quite public about his relationship with Nicole on his social media.

Hence, once again, he took to this Instagram handle to tease his fans of tying the knot once again. He posted a picture of Fernandez side-hugging her beau. As he did so, he wrote, “So blessed to have you in my life, my soon to be Mrs. Pujols ♥️.” 

These words were enough to let his fans know how amazing the former athlete’s life is going right now. Therefore, as soon as Albert posted the picture, countless messages of congratulations started pouring in for the soon-to-be-married couple.

Countless baseball fans did express their heartfelt congratulations to the couple. However, there are also some fans who don’t think it’s a good idea.

Hence, they wrote, “Blessings brother, the mercy of God always be with your family”, “Congratulations and best of luck for a long, happy and healthy life together!! 🥂”, and “The most beautiful couple congratulations ❤️.” 

And others who don’t agree, wrote, “To be honest … makes me a little sad you didn’t fix what was broken 😞”, and “Think it over before you say I do.” 

Meanwhile, there is a fan who simply wants Albert to be back in the ballpark wearing the Red Birds. Therefore, he wrote, “Come back to the cardinals bro!!!”
