In what can only be described as a rollercoaster of emotions for Oscar Piastri’s mom, Nicole Piastri. The Australian racer’s swift moves on the track during the Qatar GP sprint shootout led to a quick thumbs-down for her early morning Pilates class. Talk about priorities! But of course, all those leg lifts and core exercises would just have to wait; her son was on the brink of making F1 history! And history he made!

Piastri turned heads with his stellar performance, scoring his first F1 victory. Starting the sprint from pole on medium tires, Piastri lost his lead to Mercedes’ George Russell after a safety car restart. But just like that stubborn stain you can never get rid of, Piastri wasn’t giving up his top spot easily. He came back, reclaiming his spot from Russell when the latter’s softer tires couldn’t handle the heat. By the end, even Verstappen, surging impressively after a less-than-perfect start, couldn’t catch our boy Oscar.

She humorously lamented on Twitter, “Just canceled my 7am Pilates class…🙄”, right after Oscar nabbed that P1 grid position. But it was the after-sprint classic mama Piastri tweet that gave us pure joy. Right after her son made history, she tweeted this:

Of course, Oscar’s sprint race win would have delighted his mother. Thus this picture of the $200 GH. Mumm Champagne. She would be hoping this is just the start of her son’s F1 glory. Period. The message is quite clear. GO PIASTRI! Another Twitter win for Mama Piastri. 🙂

As Oscar Piastri was making waves on the track, his mum was making some of her own on Twitter. But Pilates wasn’t the only thing on her mind! Amidst the high-octane racing, she revealed a soft spot, tweeting, “For the record, Pierre is one of my favorite drivers 😊”. Ah, the affections of an F1 mum!

As the laps intensified, her playful impatience shone through with, “Can we just have a safety car for 8 laps now? 🙏”. I mean, who wouldn’t want to slow things down a bit when their heart is racing faster than the cars?

Yet, as Oscar clinched the victory, all frets and tweets were washed away. Celebrating in style, she shared a cheeky snap of two celebratory champagne bottles. Moral of the story? A $200 bubbly can indeed mend any motherly worries, and Pilates can wait when your son is racing toward victory!
