In a recent Instagram post, Evan gave a recent update on the mental and physical challenges post-surgery. He described his gratitude for the love and support he received from his fans. Reflecting on his recovery, Evan said that he had made significant improvements in the past five days after surgery. However, he explained that daily life is still not quite normal, as walking, eating, talking, and other regular activities are still painful. Despite all of this, Evan finds motivation from his goals for the future. Evan described the lesson he learned from the experience as not taking the smaller things in life for granted.
