Bournemouth Vehicle Repair Centre Fire Treated As Arson

Police are now treating a fire at a vehicle repair centre near Bournemouth as arson.

They're investigating after one car was completely burnt out and several others damaged - at Seaward on Wallisdown Road on Sunday night.

The building may also be structurally damaged.

At around 11.40pm on Sunday 20 November, police were called by the fire service to a report of a fire at Seaward Accident Repair Centre on Wallisdown Road.

Officers, together with Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, attended and discovered a vehicle on fire.

Detective Constable Nicky McGhee, of Bournemouth CID, said: 

"One car was completely burnt out by the fire but numerous other vehicles were also damaged. The building may have also been structurally affected.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the relevant time or knows who was responsible to contact us."
