Benicio del Toro cleaned up nicely for a red carpet screening of his latest film Sicario: Day Of The Soldado Monday in New York City. 

The 51-year-old actor sported a black tux with a simple black tie and seemed to have dyed black locks.

The star has been working in Hollywood for decades already as he got his big break in the 1989 James Bond movie Licence to Kill.

Del Toro, who seemed to walk the carpet solo, also posed with his co-star and Deadpool 2 actor Josh Brolin. 

Brolin appeared on the carpet freshly shaven in an all black suit. The 50-year-old actor traded in his tie for a little extra skin as he left the top of his shirt unbuttoned.

Later in the day, del Toro also chatted with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show about his diverse roles and Puerto Rican heritage. 

Del Toro portrays a volatile character named Alejandro Gillick in Sicario: Day Of The Soldado. 

Critics who were lucky enough to screen the film early noted that the sequel makes use of Del Toro and Brolin's talents in a smart way.

'As you might expect, Taylor Sheridan's screenplay is excellent. Really hope the film does well so they can complete the trilogy,' Collider movie critic Steven Weintraub echoed.

Del Toro was most recently seen in Stars Wars: The Last Jedi and Avengers: Infinity War, although he is best known for his role in Traffic with Michael Douglas.

The screenplay for the film is based off the book written by T.J. English.
